-selecting an infusion device -determining factors for infusion rate
-applying the tourniquet - computation of flow rate
-preparation for venipuncture - factors affecting the flow rate
-vein preparation
-basic venipuncture
Intravenous Equipment Parenteral Fluids
-fluid containers -hypotonic, isotonic and hypertonic fluids
-administration sets - fluid content of the body
-catheters & wing tips - importance of calculating correct
osmolality
Administration of Medications
This workshop is designed for professional practitioners of holistic
medicine. Medications are a small component of this workshop. Some
protocols will be discussed but the onus is on the practitioner to
seek out and develop their own protocols based on the needs of the
patient. Vitamins, minerals and injectable homeopathics will be
discussed.
